Subscriptions and Fees for U9 to U16 - 2025 / 2026
U9 to U16 Teams are run financially independent from the club and each team will need to set up a team bank account to collect subs to cover their costs to the teams nominated treasurer - Lloyds bank are recommended for community accounts as seem to be the most straight forward ones to start up (Club constitution that you may need can be found on this pages a to z)
Teams are advised to set their subscriptions at £25 a month per player for 12 months a year to cover the essential costs associated with running the team. Teams who struggle with sponsorship / fundraising for kits end of season presentation may choose to charge more than £25 to cover this as long as they keep good records and can display where money is spent to parents / FA
Please find how teams should be budgeting their subs each season to cover costs

Teams wanting to train twice a week
If teams wish to train twice a week you can either use the clubs grass pitch for no extra charge or book a 3G pitch at a discounted rate of £20 a pitch for a 5v5 area (half a 7v7) (£800 a season - £100 a month across 8 months Sept to Apr) this is to be added to your subs with parents divided by amount of players you have
Professionally Coached Sessions
Teams can bring in professional coaches to coach the team if they are wanting any extra training or if the team manager is unable to commit frequently
Costs to put on a professionally coached session are -
£15ph to £35ph for a coach depending on which coach you use (£20 is about avg for a level 2)
As an example a good professional coach and extra pitch hire should cost £1600 a year for a 40 week program (Best to run Term time - off in hols)
Extra charge to parents should look like following to cover costs charge over 12 months
11 a side squad of 14 only pay £9.52 a month
9 a side squad of 12 would only need to pay £11.11 a month
7 a side squad of 9 would pay £14.81 a month (Or can merge with another team to half cost)
Craig can provide a list of coaches contact details for you or you can use any other coach you may know.
You must ensure any coaches you use have a FA CRC check in place before working with the team!!!
End of Season Presentation Activities / Nights
Parents are expected to club together to do a fundraiser and help organise their teams presentation and not just leave it for team managers to sort.
Ideas that some of our teams done in recent years are
Go Karting / Jump 360 / Footgolf / Quading / Go Climb / Inflatable outdoor waterpark in Scarborough / Race Night / Hired a room in Pub / Sponsored Walks
Some teams even budied up with other teams to fill out function rooms etc and make a night of it
(If teams need any help or advice on this please feel free to ask the football development officer or any of the experienced managers from the older ages)
Sponsorship and Fundraising
Your child subscriptions will not cover training kits / rain coats, presentation day activities etc so teams will need to find a sponsor, fund raise or just charge parents the cost of any extra kit or presentation activity
Ideas for fundraising include
Blind Cards (Available off ebay)
Lottery Bonus Ball
Sponsored Walks / Runs
Bag Packing at local store
Race nights / sports mans dinner
If doing fundraising please ensure you have a few of you involved in cash handling that sign each time you have any income / outgoings and share this info regularly with parents so they know how much is in the teams kitty to protect yourself from parents calculating what is in the pot and making false accusations.
